SALCA

The Sacrificial Anode Line Cutter Assembly “SALCA” is a dual-purpose unit and is an alternative to conventional anodes, combining the anode with a line-cutting device.
The “SALCA” is an affordable alternative to the high cost of purchasing, repairing, replacing, conventional Line Cutters. The cost is not significantly higher than the replacement cost of the Sacrificial Anode already required for corrosion protection. The “SALCA” is used on areas of vessel propeller shafts, where entanglement is likely.
The Existing Problem
  • Traditional line cutters are expensive, which deters most boaters from investing in a useful product
  • Line cutters can corrode if not maintained.
  • Many permanent line cutter blades need removing and sharpening.
  • Some line cutters have to be specially fitted out of the water, at additional costs.
  • Certain vessel designs have limited shaft space allowing only an anode or line- cutter to be installed, as there is not enough room for both. SALCA solves this problem.
The Solution
  • SALCA’s are affordable, need no maintenance and the cost isn't significantly higher than the replacement cost of the Sacrificial Anode already required for corrosion protection.
  • SALCA’s can be used with traditional line cutters for additional cutting and zinc protection.
  • SALCA’s provide the already needed anode; the line cutter is additional insurance for little more money.
  • SALCA's are disposable and guaranteed for the life of the unit.
  • SALCA’s can be replaced by your diver at the time the anode is consumed to between the 40-50% point with another SALCA.
